Well more like 9 to go if you want the ultimate prize. At this point... I just want one.

Well no one thought this would happen did they? The Dodgers beat the Cubs 10-3 in game 2 and all of the sudden the dodgers have a chance to win their first series in 20 years.

All of the media hype is surrounding the "cursed" cubbies and how its all over for them. Im not so sure about either of those things. The Dodgers are playing so loose and so well right now. And the series is LONG from over. In all 3 of the potential games, the cubs will be favored. Its not over... well you know the saying...

Shout out to two people.... obviously... this guy...



Manny has been... well... the best thing to happen to Dodger baseball in a long time. Another game... another bomb for the all time leader in postseason homeruns.

But SO MUCH credit is due to the young Chad Billingsley. At 24 and only his first full season in the rotation... Chad has established himself as an ace. A TRUE BLUE champ... And Joe, as well of all of us say THANK YOU! with a pat on the butt!!!



One more game... come on Kuroda and come on Dodgers... lets do it!

One swing, One win, 20 years erased....

That didnt take long did it? I mean, I was thinking that I would wait untill we got swept by the magical cubbies to post... saying it was such a great year and we are still waiting for a playoff victory.

But HOLY CRAP!



With one sweet swing of the bat James Loney erased 20 years of mediocrity. The Dodgers havent won a game 1 since Kirk Gibson hit the most memorable Homerun in baseball history... James tried to do his best impression. A Grand Slam to put the dodgers ahead...

And then Manny hit the craziest, bent over homerun that I have ever seen. Wow.



Game 1 is in the books. And although it does not guarantee us a series victory... it does give us a slight edge.

Go dodgers... 10 more wins to go.

A BIG 6 run first inning and some solid pitching from top to bottom gave the Dodgers a 10-1 win last night.

A BIG 3 run bomb by St.Louis HGH'd Ryan Ludwick gave the Cards a victory over the Dbacks-

And all of a sudden... this thing is very much so within reach.

Not ready to celebrate yet... but any combo of Dodger wins and Dback losses over the next 5 days that = 3.... We win the whole damned thing!

I hope we win at home... Ill be there Thursday to celebrate with my Dad....

Ill have to keep the champagne in reach too!

Uh oh-

Well, when you lose 3 of 5 and the Dbacks win 6 of 7... things start getting a little bit too tight around the collar. With 6 games left in the season the lead is down to a paltry 2 games. There are all kinds of different scenarios on how this can play out. But in the end... the dodgers control their own destiny. Win... and we are in. Lose... we need help.

3 against the padres.

We go 5-1 ... it doesnt matter what he Dbacks do....

It starts tonight with Chad Billingsley on the mound against the padres. We need to win. Now. Its starting to get too tight around the collar.

Starting tonight the dodgers have their final homestand. Ill be there and I want you to wish us all luck as we take on our rivals with our sights set on a NL West Championship.

I GOT MY TICKETS!!!! And no... Im not talking about my regular season tickets. Im talking... PLAYOFF TICKETS BABY! My season ticket partner and I bought a total of 6 tickets to each game of the possible playoffs today. That way we get to go to EVERY SINGLE LIFE ALTERING MOMENT of the playoffs as well as sell of a couple to make up some extra $$$ :)

The Dodgers are handling their biz in PA.... taking the first 2 from the Pirates. Magic # down to 8 with the Dbags to play tonight.....
