Well, 2 in a row... So THIS is what it feels like... Get the parades out! We actually won 2 games in a row!!!!.....
Albeit that its against the reds and we are 7-8 against them this year. But a win is a win as Yogi used to say. We wont make up any ground on the Dbacks today but wont lose any either. Dodgers go for the AM sweep against the Reds tomorrow. Too bad, Ill be at the office. Still, the dodgers are HORRIBLY injured right now and the next week isnt too promising so they might want to beat up on these guys while they are down...
Today was just too hot... Definitely a "no tie" day for me. Even with the A/c it was too hot. And the good ol Mac Widget says 92 on Friday. ugh... But out of the long day there was a nice moment to share. At about 1:20 today I was driving down PCH from Newport headed back to the office. Temp gauge said 85... which next to the beach is pretty hot. But I rolled down the window. Red Hot chilli peppers were on. Wind was nice. You could see the beach was just packed with cars. Water looked so refreshing. Driving by Rubys you could almost FEEL the hot fries on your hands... you know... the big cut ones that you have to keep your mouth open when your eating them because they are so hot... kind. The shadows from the kites being sailed. The faint outline of Catalina and Long Beach/San Pedro in the distance. Like a ton of bricks it hit me that it was officially a So. Cal summer. And even though I was headed into the office to do Medicare coding, I felt like I was part of summer, if not for just a few brief moments in time. I miss Dodger stadium and am looking forward to being there this Friday. Hopefully after the boys have won 3 in a row. Now THAT would cause a riot!
