I was debating if I wanted to go to the Dodger game or phone it in and watch from the good ol couch at home. I didnt really have anyone to attend with me and it can be bothersome to go and spend that 15$ just to park. After I debated for a while... I left... late... to head up there. I usually get to games early... hot dog... pregame etc. But since I got up there late today I got to experience some things I usually wouldnt. Driving in I got to see the stadium half full. The game was a sell out so alot of people were there already when I got there. It was really fun to come in seeing the stadium packed and making so much noise. It was as if the stadium had life itself. They were setting up for the fireworks show so I parked in a new area and headed in.
Clouds had been rolling in over the hills in the distance and they provided some beautiful shots in the backgrop of the ballpark. I wish my camera could have fully caught the clouds on display. They looked like they could have been ledges on some pillowed mountain... as if angels were looking over the side of the heavens to catch up on their favorite team...

Throughout the night, in the distance you could see lightning striking in phenomenal ways! The sky was a big black piece of glass and at random points through the game you could see the white crack marks for brief moment at a time. It was truly beautiful considering there were no clouds above us and it was 80 degrees.
As beautiful as the surroundings were... the team... was not. They lost their 3rd straight game and fall to 2 games out of 1st and 4 games under the .500 mark. This team just cannot beat good competition. And when was the last time that you could say that about the freakin Marlins?
As I sat in this beautiful and oddly loud but serene setting, I couldnt help but think about so many things. It was as if being amidst the best things that tantalize all your senses only served to stimulate a conversation with your mind that you wouldnt have had otherwise. And although I sat by myself, I felt so close to this place... as if it was a friend that welcomed me in and gave me companionship, food, entertainment and good conversation. It truly was a beautiful night at Dodger Stadium... except for the whole team losing thing...
( I dont know why the sound doesnt work... its take me out to the ball game :) )
