As I sit right now, the front of my body is BRIGHT red from a raging sunburn. But I dont mind one bit:) Im sure I will in a few minutes when I lay down to sleep. But today was just BEAUTIFUL!
When I got home I just thought that it would be a nice day to LISTEN to the Dodger game. Seeing as it was on the cusp of 80 with a nice wind... I thought I would take advantage of that thing I have called a Dock. So I sat out in a chair and reclined and listened to 3 1/2 hours of Dodgers on the dock.
What a great day it was. The sun was warm... but not sweaty hot. And when you felt like you were going to perspire... a nice wind came along and soothed the skin. I love the wind. Especially on a hot day. It is so invasive and yet at the same time you welcome it as if you were a plant that needed water. I sipped on an ice cold beer and listened to Vinny call a great game in which our boys finished the rubber match taking the game and the series. GO DODGERS!
As I sat out on the dock today there were so many things that added to my experience. I got to talk to all the kayakers as they went by. The water was FULL of kayakers today.
I remembered how much I LOVE falling asleep in the sun. The water gently rocking the dock and myself in a lullaby. I slept for 2 hours! (thus the sunburn) Somewhere near the beach someone was having a BBQ and the ever so friendly wind would bring me that sweet smoky smell that reminds you of backyards more then ocean front. The water was too cool to swim but I put my feet in and felt like I was on a lake somewhere far away from sunny so cal.
I came in and took a much needed sun exposure nap. And although I have quite the sun burn... I welcome the reminder of my day on my dock with my dodgers.

That sounds WONDERFUL. Invite me next time and I will fall asleep on the deck with you. I would love that.
