Lets do some math together....

Manny goes 2 for 3... Loney goes 3-4 ... Lowe goes 7 innings and the Dodgers beat the phils...after another HEART PULSING 9th... the Dodgers held on for a 8-6 win and are only one back.

After 118 games... the Dodgers are 59-59. 1 gb. CRAZY

So I did some math... and here is how its gonna work...

85 wins takes this thing... honestly, you win 85 games.. you win the NL West.

44 games left starting tomorrow. We have 59 wins. Do the math... we need 26 of the next 44.... ouch 8 games over .500 the rest of the way will not be easy.

The positives-

We have 6 against the Rockies, 9 against the pads and 6 against San Fran... along with 3 against the nationals and 4 against the pirates. Thats where you need to make up your games. If you take those series you get 19 wins by going 2 of 3s and a 3-4. Which puts us at 78 wins. IF you handle your business against sub par teams... you have 16 games in the W column....to get there.... go .500 and get to 85.

The Negatives-

You have 7 more against the Phils, 3 against Milwaukee and you have a 10 day road trip to end the month with no breaks... which ends in the most important series of the year... against the Dbacks for 3. You play the Dbacks 6 times. We would realistically need to take 9 or 10 of those 16 in order to win this sucker....

If we can win this division on September 28th... that might be some of the sweetest champagne that has ever been doused on my head :)
